Trail description
The 50 km Trail Vipava Valley starts in small village Vipavski Križ and crosses panoramic wine-growing southern slopes and villages from Velike Žablje to Erzelj, Goče to Socerb. The last ascent to the edge of Nanos starts in Podnanos. The trail continues along picturesque and lookout edge to the highest point Pleša at 1262 m. Runners continue through the forest in the heart of Nanos (pass a Tourist Farm Abram) to a beautiful descent to the Valley towards the finish line in Gradišče pri Vipavi.
Refreshment stations & Checkpoints
- 8 refreshment stations are located along trail (see trail profile) with water, energy drinks, sugar, fruit, light food etc.
- Drinks, light meals and a warm meal will also be available for runners at the finish line.
- The track has 8 - 12 checkpoints (see track profile).
Obligatory equipment
- race bib number always visible
The obligatory equipment shall be checked at the race bib number collection. Race number won’t be given if something is missing. If the required equipment is not complete or is not shown by runner, immediate disqualification follows. Random checks shall be made along the race route.
Recommended equipment
- filled water container (camel bag, bottle …). Filled with liquid should enable a runner autonomy between two checkpoints
- survival blanket/heatsheet
- anorak
- whistle
- mobile phone turned ON but in silent mode;
- head lamp with spare batteries (for slower runners is obligatory)
- Protective clothing for bad weather in mountain areas (from -3° C to 30° C);

Registration is valid upon the payment received to Organizer bank account. VAT is not charged in the registration fee.

Registration
- Registration is open on official race page www.100utvv.si.
- Deadline for your registration and payment is 21 April 2017 or by reaching the limit 400 paid applications.
- Application is confirmed when the entry fee is paid to the Organizer’s bank account.
- Entry fee is not refundable unless valid medical certificate is presented. Entry fee cannot be transferred to next year.
- When the maximal limit of 400 applications is reached, the applications will be considered by received payment order.
- Entry list with competition numbers will be published on the official website www.100utvv.si.

- Personal equipment
Runners who wish to store personal equipment at the finish line, can submit it in a prepared event bag on Saturday 29 April before 6:30.
- Start: Vipavski Križ - Saturday 29 April, start at 10:00 am.
The organizer will provide transport for all runners to the start.

General Terms and Conditions
- Each competes at own risk.
- Competitors under the age of 18 years can not compete due to the extreme difficulty of the race.
- The competition is carried out in all weathers unless the safety of participants is at risk (extreme storm …). In such case Organizing Committee will decide on backup track or cancellation of the race.
- The track will be marked in a way that will ensure that competitors will not have to deal with the orientation (strips, plates, flags …). Race staff and volunteers will be present at all key points to help in directing the competitors.
- All runners must comply the marked path. Any use of short-cuts and run out of the marked path shall be punished with immediate disqualification.
Penalties and prohibitions
- failure to comply the marked path,
- incomplete mandatory equipment,
- refuse disposal along the trail
- use of transport during the match,
- failing to aid another competitor in trouble.
Medical care
Whenever the medical staff considers that a contestant is no longer able to continue the race they can stop competitor and take care. In case of violations, the competitor may be disqualified.
Photo documentation
Contestants agree to use of photo and video material recorded during the match for promotional purposes by the organizer.
