Trail description

T25 starts in Gradišče pri Vipavi (251 m) and follows the path by church of St Nicholas and ascends the southern edge of the plateau Nanos. The trail continues along picturesque and lookout edge to the highest point Pleša at 1262 m. Runners continue through the forest in the heart of Nanos to a beautiful descent to the Valley towards the finish line in Gradišče pri Vipavi (251 m).

Refreshment stations & Checkpoints

  • 5 refreshment stations are located along trail (see track profile) with water, energy drinks, sugar, fruit, light food etc.
  • Drinks, light meals and a warm meal will also be available for runners at the finish line.
  • The track has 5 checkpoints (see track profile).

Obligatory equipment for runners

  • race bib number always visible
  • water container (camel bag, bottle …) filled so that it enables autonomy between two checkpoints.

The obligatory material shall be checked when the athlete collects the race bibs number. If the obligatory equipment is not complete or is not shown by runner, disqualification follows. Random checks shall be made along the race route.

Recommended equipment

  • Mobile phone so that organizer can contact the runner or in case of emergency runner can contact organizer.

  • Early registration and payment of up to 1 March 2016 - 20 €
  • Registration and payment up to 9 May 2016 - 30 €

Application is valid upon the payment received to Organiser’s bank account. You can pay entry fee also last two days before the event at collection of the race bib numbers.

VAT is not charged in the registration fee.

Registrations

  • Deadline for your registration and payment is 9 May 2016 or reaching the limit of 400 paid registrations.
  • Registration is confirmed when the entry fee is paid to the Organiser’s bank account.
  • Entry fee is not refundable unless valid medical confirmation is presented for cancellation.
  • When the Limit of 400 applications is reached, the applications will be considered by received payment order.
  • Entry list with competition bib numbers will be published on the website (Registration - Entry list overview).

General Terms and Conditions of the competition

  • Each competes at own risk.
  • Competitors under the age of 14 years can not compete due to the extreme difficulty.
  • The competition is carried out in all weathers only when the safety of participants is at risk (extreme storm …).
  • The route will be marked in a way that will ensure that competitors will not have to deal with the orientation (strips, plates, flags …). Race staff and volunteers will be present at all key points to help in directing the competitors. All competitors must comply the marked path. Any use of shortcuts and run out of the marked path shall be punished with immediate disqualification.

Penalties and prohibitions

  • failure to comply the marked path,
  • incomplete mandatory equipment,
  • refuse disposal along the route
  • use of transport during the match,
  • failing to aid another competitor in trouble.

Medical care

Whenever the medical staff considers that a contestant is no longer able to continue the race they can stop competitor and take care. In case of violations, the competitor may be disqualified.

Photo documentation

Contestants agree to use of photo and video material recorded during the match for promotional purposes by the organiser.
